About INCE Europe

Geoff Leventhall, Cathy Mackenzie and Roy Lawrence organised the first Euronoise in 1992 under the auspices of the IOA and the second one, in Lyon in 1995, was organised by Jean Tourret under the auspices of SFA and in co-operation with I-INCE.

INCE/Europe was conceived in the 1990s by Geoff, Cathy, Roy and Jean with the encouragement of International INCE and formed in 1999.

The original intention was that INCE/Europe would run Euronoise every three years but in the event it was taken on by the European Acoustical Society which had been set up in 1992.
